Project overview
Is a Grade II Listed 5 Storey building. Our brief was to refurbish the 2nd floor to CAT A standard in order for the tenant to hand back to the landlord, and to fit out the 1st floor for the tenant to sub-let. The building is multi-tenanted with only 1 lift. Primary consideration was given to other tenants to avoid disrupting their day to day business. For this reason, the majority of the works were executed outside normal working hours, especially those works to the staircase between the 1st & 2nd floors as this was also the fire evacuation route.
Key Objectives
Our client emphasised the tight timescales which governed the project. Lease deadlines, and in the interest of further revenue from a future sub-tenant necessitated a larger than normal level of LAD’s for the project. In order to fulfil the client’s needs, we worked double 9 hour shifts back to back in order to deliver the project on time, within budget, and free of any snags.
